	Welcome to the website of Tony Todd, N.A.P.A., I.A.T.T.D.A. - designer, artist and illustrator. Here you will see images of varied styles suitable for galleries, commercial applications or ideas for commissions. Tony Todd studied at the Guildford, Harrow and St Martin's Schools of Art and has worked for many design studios and advertising agencies throughout London and the South East of England. He has produced book covers and illustrations for many of the leading book publishers and has had several hundred Christmas cards, everyday cards and calendars published by the 'Greetings Industry'. His paintings appear in many private collections worldwide including that of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and H.R.H. Prince Philip. Tony also provides tuition in art on a 'one to one' basis.
	Latest News………………… 2008-2009 a major project has been started on a spectacular collection of large paintings depicting characters and scenes from the exciting Gerald Durrell story 'My Family and Other Animals'. This classic story of Durrell’s early days spent with his amazing family in Corfu has been a great favourite for generations of children and adults alike. The story was adapted for a popular BBC television series starring Brian Blessed, Hannah Gordon and Darren Redmayne, more recently another BBC film was made starring Eugene Simon, Imelda Staunton and Tamsin Merchant. Many editions of the book have been published throughout the world. Tony is to produce fourteen new paintings using his unique and colourful idiosyncratic style which proved so popular with his Dylan Thomas’ 'Under Milkwood' collection. The Gerald Durrell Wildlife Foundation (GDWF), based in Jersey, will host a two week exhibition of the finished paintings in March 2009 as part of their 50^th anniversary celebrations. It is hoped that many thousands of visitors will visit the island for these celebrations. A film is being made of Tony painting his latest picture in his studio at Chilworth, this film will accompany the paintings and will be shown at the exhibition. Copyright of the fourteen paintings have been donated to the GDWF for one year and talks are in place for image merchandising including that of Jersey Pottery. Later in 2009 a further major exhibition of the paintings will take place at the Red Biddy Gallery, Shalford. Claire and David of the Red Biddy will handle all sales and representation of the collection throughout.
